Though I have many drafts of potential blog posts on this very notion, Donna Schute delivers a genuine ‘must stop to read’ piece. Just this morning I was mulling over the most articulate way to say, “If you don’t like the way something in your life is going, change it. At least change is momentum, and momentum is better than growing stagnant in an unpleasant situation.”
So, in all of the ways I’m unable to express the neon bouncy balls rolling around in my head that comprise my thoughts, read Schute’s article.
Happy Friday, everyone.
Most of the pain and unhappiness in my own life — and I would go so far as to say most of the pain and unhappiness in other people’s lives as well — is directly attributable to a pathological inability to tolerate the Not-Okay. We fail to recognize this simple truth: that implicit in the act of living is the possibility of f-cking it up.
